We do not refuse to rent, set different terms, or otherwise discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation and gender identity), national origin, familial status, or disability.

How we apply this

• Every application is measured against the same published criteria.
• Applications are considered in the order they are received and completed.
• Our advertising describes the property, not the person we imagine living in it.

Reasonable accommodations and modifications

If you have a disability and need a reasonable accommodation in our rules, policies, or services — or permission to make a reasonable modification to a home — please ask. Assistance animals are not pets: they are permitted regardless of a property's pet policy, and are never subject to a pet fee or pet rent.

If you believe you have been treated unfairly

Contact us first if you are willing to — we would rather hear about it and fix it. You also have the right to file a complaint with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or with the North Carolina Human Relations Commission, and contacting us does not affect that right or any deadline that applies to it.
